Ironhouse Sanitary District's main offices will be closed for Monday, Sept. 4 for Labor Day, however the District's Residential Recycled Water Fill Station will hold regular hours over the holiday weekend.
The Fill Station will be open Saturday, Sept. 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Monday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Residential Recycled Water is free to both Oakley and Bethel Island residents and may come in handy as area enters into a heat wave that is expected to last throughout the next week. Out of district residents are welcome to purchase a punch card from the District's Main office to receive recycled water. The punch card is $25 and offers 25 trips to the fill station to fill up to 300 gallons per trip. This punch card can not be purchased at the Fill Station, so please plan in advance.
ISD's recycled water, which is treated at our technologically advanced Water Recycling Facility, can be used to irrigate lawns, trees, vegetable gardens, outdoor plants and more. It call also be used to hose down driveways and wash cars.
