Director  Lauritzen wins Board Member of the Year Award

The California Special Districts Association has recognized Ironhouse Sanitary District Board president Chris Lauritzen as the organization’s statewide “Board Member of the Year.” Lauritzen was nominated by Ironhouse staff who noted that it takes a strong, supportive Board member to lead a successful district. 
“As currently the longest-serving member of the ISD Board, serving since 2004, Director Lauritzen brings not only his recollections and references of the past but also a unique perspective of what he believes the future should look like at Ironhouse Sanitary District,” General Manager Chad Davisson said. District receives highest award for financial accounting

Ironhouse Sanitary District has been awarded the “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States. For a government agency, this is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. 
As part of the participation in the award process, Ironhouse was required to complete a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the previous fiscal year. This was the first CAFR that Ironhouse had ever completed. The document was published for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017. (read more...)

Ironhouse hosted a table at Oakley's Station 53's Open House where residents stopped by to "Trick or Treat" and show off their Halloween costumes on Oct. 27.
